👉🏻 Do you work on Saturdays? Yes I do, from 9:30 - 3pm
👉🏻 What are the options for payment? Right now it's Debit, E-transfer or Cash and I provide a receipt for your records.
👉🏻 Do you do sports massage? My focus is really on chronic conditions, aches and pains, rehab and de- stressing. That being said, I have many clients who workout and need extra attention in certain muscle groups or joints, and I have a lot of success helping them. However, I cannot provide support for true athletes who are in training for marathons and triathlons etc., I believe they require specialized knowledge in sports massage, which is not my focus. I am happy to refer anyone in that category to an RMT who specializes in sports massage, for their benefit.
👉🏻 Do you do direct billing to insurance? No, I don't , payment is directly to me after the treatment, for which I give you a receipt. Then you get reimbursed by your insurance provider. Keep in mind that different providers offer different coverage, so please check with them to see what is in your policy.
👉🏻 What if I have to cancel my appointment? You can easily cancel your appointment up until 24 hours prior to your treatment. But please note, that I do have a cancellation policy if you have to cancel in short notice, under 24 hours. If you can fill the spot, I will waive the fee. The cancellation fee is 100% of the total cost of the missed appointment. Also, to be fair, if I have to cancel on you, you will receive a complimentary treatment
👉🏻 Should I tip? No, I do not accept tips. The best way to show your appreciating is to recommend me to your friends.
👉🏻 Do you do deep pressure? Absolutely! I believe that some people will only get relief if that affected deeper muscle can get relaxed. That being said, sometimes it does take focus and repetition during a treatment, going over the same area several times, until I can feel the change. I usually use shiatsu techniques to get the best results for deep pressure relief.
👉🏻 Is your clinic accessible? Yes, there are automatic front doors and elevators.
👉🏻 Do you have a waiting area if I'm early? Yes. My waiting is quiet and peaceful with many comfortable chairs. Also, if you need to use the washroom, the keys are hanging on the wall, and it's down the hall in the right. If by chance you're very early and the office isn't open yet, there are comfy couches downstairs on the first floor by the security desk for you. Or, like some people do, you can have a nice walk around the Allan Gardens Conservatory, have a look at the turtles or the exotic flora that abounds. It's usually very calming and relaxing.
👉🏻 I'm not sure if I should choose shiatsu, massage or acupuncture, what should I do? When booking online, just choose one (they're all the same price), and then we can discuss it when you come for your appointment. We can always change it to one of the other offerings if we decide that would be better for you.
👉🏻 Is there parking nearby? There is parking at the front of the building on Carlton Street, until 3pm on the south side and 4pm on the north side. Many people park on Homewood Ave, just one block east.
